Undergraduate Studies
Ideating, Iterating, Executing
I graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree of science in Industrial Design. Below are samples of projects completed during my studies.
LunaYou Pregnancy Journal
I created this project as part of my senior thesis at Wentworth Institute of Technology. The project was completed in partnership with a maternal health organization, LunaYou. My design intent was to improve health literacy levels among pregnant people and new moms, while also giving them a space to document and reflect on their pregnancy journey.
What is LunaYou?
LunaYou is a maternal wellbeing platform designed to support maternal health outcomes in Rhode Island and beyond.
Members are empowered with the tools, skills, and social support they need for a healthy pregnancy and postpartum.
Why Does Supporting
Maternal Health Matter?
In the United States, women face significantly higher risks in pregnancy and childbirth, compared to other high income nations.
The US has the highest maternal death rates in the developed world.
Maternal mortality rates refer to the number of maternal deaths per 100,000 live births. The US faces higher maternal mortality rates than any other high income nation.
Black women in the United States are
2.5 to 3 times more likely to die in childbirth than their white counterparts.
This is largely due to systemic racism in healthcare and housing policies, and implicit bias among healthcare professionals.
93 Million Americans have low health literacy.
Low health literacy among pregnant people is associated with greater risk of perennial lacerations and unplanned cesarean sections.
User Research
To better understand the scope of the problem, I created a map of words and associations related to motherhood and maternal health.
Ideation
Using real data collected from LunaYou users,
I made several diagrams summarizing their experiences in pregnancy and postpartum.
I devoted time to learning more about the intricacies of pregnancy and postpartum by researching existing books and journals on the market.
LunaYou's research has shown that wellbeing consists of seven elements in combination.
I structured each chapter of my journal according to the seven elements of wellbeing, as well as a chapter in the beginning documenting pregnancy milestones.
At the beginning of each chapter, there is a QR code that links to a video explaining more about each element of wellbeing.
As LunaYou is primarily offered as a digital program, this encourages the user to engage with our online presence, as well as learn more about wellbeing.
Each chapter contains a mix of educational content and interactive activities.
My goal was to both teach the reader about pregnancy, and encourage them to document and reflect on their pregnancy journey.
iRobot X WIT Design Studio
In the Spring of 2021 I was part of a Wentworth Institute of Technology studio class in partnership with iRobot. Below are samples of the work I completed during this course.
Project Brief
Design a product that utilizes smart home technology to create a meaningful pet/owner experience.
User Research
I began my research by studying two subjects who are very familiar to me, my dogs.
Market Research
Every good design project starts with research. I wanted to better understand areas of need for pet owners, and gaps in the current pet care market that a smart home technology could fill.
Additional User Research
In addition to specific research about my dogs, I wanted to get an idea of what the broader benefits of crate training are. Below is a summary of my research findings.
Preliminary Ideation
Below are some of my early thoughts as I explored potential features I'd like to include in my design,
Concept 1 - Smart Collar and Crate Combo
In addition to specific research about my dogs, I wanted to get an idea of what the broader benefits of crate training are. Below is a summary of my research findings.
Form Studies
I took this opportunity to explore different forms and materials for potential smart dog crates.
Refined Concepts, Procreate
NAPP Smart Nursery
I worked on this project as part of a consumer electronic design studio in undergrad. I was tasked with creating a piece of smart home technology that aids in an aspect of wellbeing.
Album Cover Design
I created this project in the summer of 2020 as part of an assignment for an advanced graphic design course. The project brief instructed that the final design must only use elements of typography to tell a story.
Word Cloud
I began my design process by listening to the song on repeat, and jotting down all of the words that I associated with the mood of the song. I also explored how the title looked in different fonts.
Ideation Sketches
I started my sketches by exploring different compositions and type forms.
Digital Refinement
Once I had established a concept direction, I took some of my favorite concepts and explored them digitally.
Narrowing the Scope
Now that I had a wide variety of ideas, I chose a few that I liked and worked to refine them further.
Creating Assets
Now that I had decided on a direction, I needed to create the label sticker and back cover. Here are some of my early concepts for those assets.
Final Concepts
I mocked up my design in Adobe Photoshop to create a photorealistic presentation.
Hasbro x WIT Bring Home the Fun
I created this fast paced, remotely playable auction game in collaboration with Will Brunner, Kathleen Kholstrom, Daniel DiLorenzo, and Nina Langone.
Brainstorming
As a class, we used Mural to brainstorm different game names and styles of play.
We looked at popular existing games as well as brainstormed titles for new ones.
Once we had established some concepts we liked, we narrowed them down into groups.
In these groups we explored potential play styles and early game mechanics.
One Pagers
I chose two different ideas to elaborate on: Conspiracy and Ad-Pocalypse.
Collector's Edition
After further refining Ad-Pocalypse, we decided the name Collector's Edition fit better.
Refining the Aesthetic
My team and I experimented with different visual styles for the game. We also changed the name to Going Once... Going Twice.... to reflect the auction mechanics of the game.
Mood Board
I created this mood board, comprised of images of different games, illustrations and cartoons. I was trying to capture a fun and colorful aesthetic.
Thumbnail Sketches
In these loose sketches, I quickly explored different packaging concepts for the new direction.
Final Game Assets
My role on the team was to focus on visual assets such as packaging, card design, and pitch decks.

3D Modeling and Technical Drafting
I have been utilizing 3D modeling as an aid to my design process since 2015. Below are samples of 3D renders and technical drafting work.
Personal Logo Design
In the summer of 2020, as part of an advanced graphic design class, we were tasked with creating a logo that represents our personal brand. Below is my creative process.
Word Cloud
To better define what represents me as a designer, I made this graphic using words and phrases that described myself and what I like about design.
Ideation
In my ideation I explored three types of logos: ones that utilized a script, ones that were iconographic and others that were more abstract.
Ideation Sketches, Hand Sketched, Adobe Photoshop (Color)
Digital Refinement
Utilizing Adobe Illustrator, I chose my favorite directions and began to rapidly iterate on them.

Final Logo Design
My final design is a nod to my glasses, something I've worn since I was in the 1st grade.

Blue Hills Trailside Exhibition Design
In the Fall of 2019 Wentworth Institute of Technology partnered with Blue HIlls Trailside Museum to create proposed designs for new museum exhibits
